What does it cost to join the HomeServe USA repair network? Nothing!

cost to join homeserve networkThere is no fee to become a member of HomeServe USA's network of contractors. We believe that contractors who join our network will reward us with top-quality, reliable service that satisfies our customers. Although we don't charge providers to join our network, there are a few other things to know about becoming a service provider, what it requires, and how it compares to some of the other top home warranty, insurance and home repair service companies.

Requirements to join HomeServe USA's provider network

Although there is no financial obligation to become one of our trusted providers, we do have an application and screening process that all prospective contractors must complete prior to joining. This application process allows us to ensure that we only work with top-caliber contractors. Since we limit the number of contractors we work with in any specific geographic area, this allows us the opportunity to offer steady, consistent jobs to our network contractors.

For more in-depth information on what's required to join our provider network, visit our Become a Service Provider page, or check out a recent blog post that discusses these requirements at length.

How does this model compare to other companies?

The other common type of contractor networks are those that require you pay for leads, or that require you to subscribe in order to get those leads.  Consider, however, that many of these companies have such a large volume of listed service providers that it's difficult for a new provider to attract customers.

Understanding this, some home contractor networks will charge you money to get listed higher on their site. This is the same model as paid advertising on internet search engines – if you pay them enough, they will make sure you get in front of the right people.

Drawbacks of the pay-to-play model for home service providers

While joining a home service provider network and paying them to advertise might seem like a fair exchange, it comes with a few serious drawbacks:

-You have to spend more money out of pocket for work that is not guaranteed to come. No matter how highly you are listed, if the site does not have a sufficient number of prospects, you may be unhappy with the results.

- Often, contractors with the largest advertising budgets are displayed before other contractors, simply because they've paid more to appear higher in listings.

-You may not get consistent work. The results from any paid advertising can be unpredictable. At HomeServe USA, we endeavor to send our trusted providers a consistent number of jobs based on their market and the needs of their business.

At the end of the day, it's important that you do what is best for your business to help maintain a steady flow of customers and cash flow. If you are confident in the quality of your work, open to our application and ongoing processes, and don't want to spend lots of money upfront, HomeServe USA's contractor network could be the perfect choice for you.
