requirements to join homeserve networkAt HomeServe, our aim is to provide a high-quality experience that satisfies both customers and contractors. To maintain this standard, we require contractors to go through a rigorous yet easy-to-complete screening process before they can come on board and officially become a HomeServe provider.

Requirements in HomeServe's screening process

If you're interested in becoming a HomeServe provider, here's what will be required of you during the application process:

  • - Drug screening and criminal background checks for you and anyone who will be working on jobs you are assigned by HomeServe
  • - All licenses, and insurance certificates must be valid and up-to-date
  • - A willingness to use HomeServe USA's technology to accept work and interface with our team
  • - Be open to negotiating rates in consideration of our business model

You'll also need to read and sign a copy of our HomeServe contractor agreement, which sets out the details on how we handle issues like payment, complaints, insurance, and subcontractors. The contractor agreement will help you find answers if you have concerns or questions about your relationship with HomeServe.

Sustaining a mutually beneficial relationship with HomeServe

Once you have been accepted into our network and started to work with HomeServe customers, things should proceed smoothly. To ensure we maintain rigid standards of quality for customers and can offer our providers high-quality, consistent work, we keep a running scorecard for each contractor in our network. The scorecard is based on a few factors – customer feedback; how many jobs you have offered, accepted and completed; how many jobs you have turned down; average job costs, etc.

Our contractor scorecard is what allows us to guarantee a quality repair network with a customer satisfaction rating of over 99%*. We take pride in offering the highest levels of service and security.

Quality before convenience

Our rigorous standards are designed to ensure the right balance between top performing contractors and the quality expectations of our customers.  While we do ask our contractors to be considerate of our operating procedures when quoting rates to us, our main goal isn't to pay the lowest rates to our contractors.

Instead, HomeServe chooses to focus on quality. By creating a screening process and ongoing scorecard, we improve the quality of the service we provide for both customers and contractors. Our customers can have full confidence that they are only working with the best technicians, and our providers know that they are part of a select group that will consistently receive real paying jobs – not leads or inquiries.
